About
WE LOVE
Passion and enthusiasm seem to be in short supply in society these days. But we think that they are the essence of Handbuilt.
Just ask any of our clients how we approach our work and they will tell you that it’s our quality, passion and service that set us apart.
We are not just saying it… we really do love creating beautiful things, regardless whether it’s creating an award winning website, designing an annual report, or planning the software architecture for our ultra-flexible business management software, we always find the enjoyment in the challenge.
Being happy in your work makes it very easy to do great things, as pushing yourself to hone skills or understand new emerging technologies is never a chore, and it results in products that ooze quality, functionality and usability.
We take a great deal of pride and pleasure in creating magical things for our clients, and are always keen to find new projects to push our creative thinking.
Small is the new big
Handbuilt is a micro-company with only a small number of employees but that doesn’t stop us producing great work.
Our 2011 Webby Honoree award winning Tune In Not Out website was short-listed alongside the main Disney Channel, Lego and Nickelodeon websites in the Youth category, proving that small creative agencies can compete on an international stage and succeed.
Part of our success is due to our own ultra-flexible and powerful internal business management software systems that allow us to delegate without the need for additional staff. The systems have additional benefits of being quantifiable and which output expected and consistent results.
Our time management is also strict, allowing for only a certain number of clients at any one time, meaning we never over commit, and our famed quality and service can always be guaranteed.
Experience is Insurance
Getting results from creative development is a skilled task, and knowing a company’s experience is vital for peace of mind when it comes to choosing a creative agency.
Handbuilt’s Managing Director, David Shering, has been involved in the industry for over 12 years, and has designed, developed and managed projects for brands such as Microsoft, AusPost, the Tasmanian Government, Royal Bank of Scotland, and the University of Tasmania to name a few.
David’s exposure to these demanding corporate requirements means that Handbuilt has the vital understanding of how to express business needs through design and development in an efficient and effective manner, meaning that even the most demanding of projects meet their intended goals.
