Passion and enthusiasm seem to be in short supply in society these days. But we think that they are the essence of Handbuilt.
Just ask any of our clients how we approach our work and they will tell you that it’s our quality, passion and service that set us apart.
We are not just saying it… we really do love creating beautiful things, regardless whether it’s creating an award winning website, developing integrated marketing strategies, or planning the software architecture, we always find the enjoyment in the challenge.
Being happy in your work makes it very easy to do great things, as pushing yourself to hone skills or understand new emerging technologies in our opinion is never a chore – instead it results in deliverables that ooze quality, functionality and usability.
We take a great deal of pride and pleasure in creating magical things for our clients, and are always keen to find new projects to push our creative thinking.
We feel honoured to have received numerous international and national awards for our work, including 8 in the last 2 years alone.
Within 2 years of starting the company we won a Webby Honoree at the 15th annual Webby’s – the Internet’s most prestigious awards, having being shortlisted alongside business giants Disney, Lego and MTV.
In the same year, Handbuilt went on to win the coveted Australian and New Zealand Internet Awards.
Recognition has been given for our abilities in web design, web development, marketing, business and brand communication.
Our experience is your insurance
Getting results from creative development is a skilled task, and knowing a company’s experience is vital for peace of mind when it comes to choosing a creative agency.
Some of the staff at Handbuilt have been involved in the digital creative industry for over 14 years, and over that time they have designed, developed and managed projects for brands such as Microsoft, Ernst & Young, AusPost, the ACT Government, Royal Bank of Scotland, Landcare (Tas) and the Tasmanian Government to name a few.
Our exposure to these demanding corporate environments means that Handbuilt has the vital understanding of how to express business needs through design and development in an efficient and effective manner, meaning that even the most demanding of projects meet their intended goals.
Handbuilt Creative was established in 2009 by David Shering and Michelle Sasse.
Based in the historic heritage village of Richmond in idyllic Southern Tasmania, the company has a bespoke studio within Willow Cottage – a colonial building originally erected in 1884.
